Plaza Putra
History was made when The Actors Studio @ Plaza Putra opened in 1995. It was the first privately-owned and operated space in the country. The completed centre comprised a 153-seater proscenium, a 100-seater black box theatre, four studios under The Actors Studio Academy as well as a popular Book Shoppe cum Resource Centre.
It became a hub for performing arts to flourish in Malaysia. Its stages saw many , many groundbreaking and experimental works unfold. Artistes, theatre practitioners and theatre lovers all converged there. The space and its people created such an energy and vibe that that it became a focal point of the performing arts industry during its eight years of existence.
Sadly, in 2003, the entire complex was devastated due to flashfloods in KL. The Actors Studio @ Plaza Putra will forever be etched in the memories of many theatre pioneers in
