Bangsar
The Actors Studio @ BSC opened its doors to the public in January 2001. The cozy 260-seater theatre featured a thrust stage with three-sided seating.
It quickly became a popular venue because of its intimate atmosphere and location in a shopping mall. In fact, it s was the first theatre in a shopping centre in Malaysia. Its strategic location not only made it accessible to the masses but it became part of a lifestyle package where theatre goers could dine, shop as well as watch a live performance all in one night and under one roof.
The Actors Studio @ BSC became a second home to many artistes and theatre companies. It was a springboard for many personalities who were just starting out then including Jit Murad, Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim and many more.
The theatre had to be closed down in February 2009. The Actors Studio would like to thank all our friends who performed during the closing performances and everyone else who turned up to show their support.
