This is a fun and free-spirited introduction to drama for those between 13-18 years old. This workshop explores the energy, imagination and creativity of the participants and helps to shape and develop them by working in small groups. The participants will be exposed to structuring and creative story-telling. As the class progresses, the creative output from the participants wil form the basis of their informal presentation. Appropriate for beginners and those who have participated in other workshops.

“Way to Happiness Drama Workshop”
A-3 days Drama with Joanna Bessey
A drama workshop for kids, playing drama games to learn how to be an actor. Develop some improvasiton skills and devise skits based on precepts from the Way to Happiness Children’s Activity Book, such as look After your Enviroment etc.
Nominated at the recent “BOH” Cameronian Arts awards for a play she did last year, Joanna Bessey has also been nominated at the Asian Televison Award (In singapore) for the ‘Best Actress in a comedy Role’ and was awarded ‘Highly Commended’, for her role in “Kopitiam”, which aired for seven seasons. She was also voted Best Female Artist in 2002 by public online poll.

Alien Invasion - Working with Mask

Participants explore human aspects and transform themselves into alien creatures. They create their own alien form of movement and communication and also look. Best part is they try to invade KLPac! An exciting programme for beginners and those with experience.
Ms. Nala Nantha, has experience in teaching children, teenagers, adults, children with special needs and the deaf. Even appeared in tv programmes and had done some voice assignments. She recently directed a children’s production called “The Big Brown Mushroom”

Tales Galore and Plenty More

Explore the watery world of underneath the sea in this fun-filled, arts-packed storytelling session. Listen and join in with storytelling and then make props and crafts relating to the underwater tales ( Parents of those aged under 5 are required to stay, all are welcome to stay and join in).
Lorna is a violin fidding, flute blowing, singing and screaming arts facilitator with a first class Bachelor’s degree in Music and the combined arts (that means all of ‘em) who brings a fresh twist to workshop in music,art, dance and performing arts.

‘Get Creative’By Abigail Barragry
‘Get Creative’, a mixture of movement, voice, fun and games to release creative potential. Use teamwork to develop your own ideas and express them through drama. Build confidence, make friends, and go as far as the imagination will take you.
The day will be split into physical/vocal sections and have a mixture of teacher led and student led activities. Children will be showing and sharing with their course mates ongoing throughout the day in the form of mini-performances. The class will cater for all levels of experience in drama, and the only requirement is positive energy and a desire to have a good time.
Abigail Barragry’s training in the Arts is very wide, including 10 years with The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, a BSc in Psychology, and an MA at the East-15 Acting School London. She has further taken specific training in the dynamics of voice as welll as camera work and presentation technique at The Actors Centre London.
